Current artist inspired piece
The artist I was inspired by to make this piece was Stephen D. Nash whos a wild life artist and he primary focuses on a order of mammals when doing his art. And he got his bachelor degree in scientific illustration in 1979 at the royal college of art. He didn't even really want to be apart of the primate specialist group until he went to the London zoo and saw callitrichid monkeys in 1982, He at first wanted to have a profession as a medical illustrator.
So the way I got inspiration from his art work was picking an animal with a really long tail and trying to make it look like its relaxed the way in his paintings all the animals look like they're comfortable because of the way their tails are kind just floating around so I wanted to try seeing if I can try showing the way the "animal' is feeling by making it look like its not postured up really straight.

Alebrijes
The animal I chose for my alebrije was a cat because of the fact that I have multiple and love the way they act even if they weren't spirit animals. I also looked up and saw that if cats became or were secretly alebrijes they associate with independence and freedom just like the way they act regularly. And while making this It took really long for me to make the face the way I liked it without needing to fix anything else about it and I took so much time on the body because I wanted it to look exactly the way it cat looks when they're sitting down so I tried making the back curved and the front curved in. I left my piece on Tuesday and when I came back on Thursday it was completely shattered on the shelf exactly where I left it too so someone accidently dropped it leading it to crumble and so I unfortunately wasn't able to finish it and complete it because I already took so much time with it I felt like I couldn't go back and re make it because I have other projects to work on.

useful piece
I made this coil little bowl so I can put my rings and necklaces but when I put it on the shelf where we come back another day to work on it well I left it there and couldn't find it again so I wasn't able to finish it but this piece was kinda easy to do because of the coil project we did before so I can a bit more experience just starting off the bottom.

wall hanging
this wall hanging I kinda start it so long ago but forgot about it so I finished it up but it exploded so it wasn't probably patched right with the eyes and I didn't really feel that proud of it so I'm not too upset but it did take a lot of my time to make because I couldn't get the right leather clay material I needed and it wasn't forming the way I wanted at first.
